The views are great, the hosts at the front are fantastic, and the menu posted outside the entrance looks fine. Once you're seated everything goes to hell. The drink refills come promptly but everything else is a mess. First you notice the menu inside mentions a 5% charge that the menu outside omits which is this restaurant's way of protesting having to pay for health insurance for their staff as per San Francisco law - a quick google search will show you this practice is being investigated as fraud. We asked the waitress about it and she just gave us attitude and said some disparaging things about minimum wage workers.
The waitress could not get my order right, I had to send it back twice and I still didn't get what I ordered. I asked for a caesar salad and got fries, I sent the fries back and ended up with a vingrette, then the waitress just said "well I totally screwed that up" and did nothing about it except to remove it (the thing I never got) and only that from the bill. The food that did come was sub-par. My partner didn't get what she ordered either. Go to the Hard Rock instead and have some quality food and proper service.
