We stayed a short walk from Chinatown. We just happened to walk up Jackson Street, not wanting to go too far from our hotel in the rain. Seeing the restaurant filled with Chinese through the window, we felt this was worth a try. Our hunch was right. There was nothing distinctive about the decor from the many Chinese restaurants in Chinatown, but, the service was friendly. We wanted to try some variety and the hostess described things well and seem to keep her eye on the service activities in the restaurant, ensuring a nice flow. The price was a bargain, but price aside...it was great Chinese food, unpretentious and easy to find.
