Hidden away in Vine Street it looks a little odd from the outside and rather "shabby", but don't be put off it is a charming restaurant inside - adapted from a 1927 cable car. There is always a good list of specials on the whiteboard, often with a Portuguese twist, alongside more traditional US dishes. They don't have a liquor licence, but sell bottled beer and good house wine (Portuguese) at $20 per bottle. Prices are very reasonable indeed - typically $10 - $14 for the main and quality is surprisingly good. Give it a try if you're in the area!
