“Only had drinks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

Sat at the adjacent bar to the restaurant during the shift change mid-afternoon. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, talking with the bar tenders. Very, Very personable. Just went in to rest from walking and we were glad we did. They poured a good sized drink, but I have had better tasting sangria. Not bad though. Bartenders made the atmosphere!

“A Must Eat in SF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

Small plates/tapas. Amazing and creative. Meet 2 friends there for an early happy hour (3:45) The drinks are very creative and unique. I think we order at least 1 of everything off the appetizer menu. The duck and pork meatballs are fatty (in the best way possible) and delicious with the perfect sear and a sweet reduction sauce. The salmon with honey and truffles are not to be missed along with the BEST octopus I've ever had! I could go on and on about the food but the staff was just as good. Overall amazing and will return every trip to SF!

“Yum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

We had spent the morning at the Exploratorium. Their dining venues were packed. We were headed back to the Bart when we noticed Coqueta and went in. We intended to have a few tapas to tide us over but they were so good we kept ordering more. We found them all to be interesting and tasty. The octopus and calamari were wonderful but nothing was disappointing.

“Great seafood; mediocre meats”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

Love small plate restaurants so decided to give this one a shot. Interior is very comfortable and well designed....four of us ate ordering 3 tapas each....first grouping came out quick but we then waited what felt like forever for the last few....the octopus, salmon, shrimp , jamon ham was amazing....The meatballs, short ribs were very mediocre

“Wow! What a great find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

So glad we had a chance to dine at Coqueta. Super friendly staff from the moment we walked in the door, until we left. I've dined at many restaurants that serve Tapas, and this was one of the best in my opinion. Our waiter was great and really knew the food on the menu, and offered us good suggestions. If I have to find some fault, it would be that the prices were on the high side. I realize tapas can be expensive, but everything here was just a bit higher. That said, the ingredients all seemed to be of high quality, and some of the dishes were sublime, and layered with great flavor. Highlights were the whole branzino (large plate) and the croquettas. Home made sangria was delicious! This is a nice new choice on the waterfront.
