“Decent”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

Restaurants in this part of town can take advantage of the fact that many of their guests will hardly come back - as tourists are probably the only clientele. We arrived just before happy hour ended, service was OK (slight attitude, but attentive enough overall) and had appetizer garlic fries, clam chowder, salad. Food was not bad, people watching and the overall buzz of the area is the draw. Family owned and operated since 1946 according to their signage, so that says something.

“Not Recommended”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I arrived in SF hungry and this place looked busy. We decided to try it and I regret our decision. The waiter was slow and inattentive. My husband sat waiting on a drink refill twice. The front patio is extremely small with too many tables piled in. The worst part of all was the food. I ordered clam chowder and it was below average. It had very few clams and too many vegetables. Mt husband ordered fish and chips and he wasn't happy with it either. Don't waste your money!

“Go anywhere but here!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Chose this restaurant as we arrived in San Francisco tired after a 9 hour drive and it was close to the hotel. The drinks took ages to come and we had to remind the surly waitress who thought she was doing us a favour! We ordered main meals which also took a long while to arrive - 3 lasagnes and a seafood pasta. The lasagnes arrived as a square lukewarm lump in the middle of the plate - no salad, no garnish. Left feeling totally ripped off. AVOID

“Excellent quality local food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Great dining experience (twice) with the family. Great fast and friendly service.

Try the sauteed shrimp and the clam chowder.
