“Nice food, service and ambience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013 via mobile

Located on a busy corner opposite Washington Square, this Italian restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is friendly and the complimentary bruschetta at the beginning of the meal and gummy bears and almond cookies at the end are a nice touch. The menu offers the usual Italian fare with daily specials explained clearly by the friendly waiter in authentic Italian accented English. The house wine is easily drinkable and we were pleased to be able to order decaf lattes to finish the meal.

“Great food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

This was a restaurant recommended to us and so glad we decided to go! We had a great window seat and enjoyed a wonderful meal that included lots of conversation with the owner, who also waited on is! The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Don't miss the dessert menu.....fabulous homemade (by the owner) tiramisu!

“Buonissimo!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

After a very long day of sightseeing, Hubby & I wanted a nice meal to finish off the day. We were recommended this restaurant by our tour guide and what a wonderful choice it was.

From the moment we walked in to the time we left we were looked after and made to feel very welcomed. We were treated like family friends...smiles all around, very friendly staff and no request made by us was too much trouble for them!

The food was delicious! Everything was tasty and very authentic italian - and the price was good too. We have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful, friendly family restaurant - Try it...you won't be disappointed.

“Wonderful family run restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

The offer of free round of wine and appetizer for our party of four - brought us in (as well as travelling with a couple who had eaten here several times in the past).
Awesome bruchetta and delicious pasta. We had a wonderful tasty meal.
Charming decorations - strange bathroom location, but who cares. Would recommend the spinach/ricotta ravioli in the rose crème. Would not recommend the shrimp appy - only 4 shrimp for $11 (?).

“Charming restaurant, friendly staff & a memorable dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

We dined here after a show ran late and were worried the restaurant would be closed. The friendly staff accommodated us with smiles and fresh house bread. Our daughters were famished and the appetizers arrived quickly; everything we ordered was delicious. Interestingly enough, I found this cafe as we were sight seeing much earlier that day. After wandering in and asking to use the restroom, I was shown the ladies room without hesitation. The interior of this cafe is spectacular; carvings and reliefs are everywhere and you'll be entertained simply looking around until your entree arrives.

When the check arrived, we were given amaretto cookies and gummy bears. Smiles all around.
