Dinner on a damp Monday night in SF so we ate inside. I started with a nice glass of Sauvignon blanc and had the frommage for dinner my husband absolutely RAVED about the duck with a glass of cotes du rhone. After finishing his first glass of wine, he ordered a glass of bougelaise nouveau for the remainder of his meal. The waiter, who had recommended the duck, told him he did not recommend that wine for the duck and offered a taste first. He was definitely right! The wine was too light for duck although my husband did enjoy some when he finished my cheese plate for his dessert. For me, the pot au chocolate finished my meal perfectly - yum!
