“Best brunch in a long time - something for everyone!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2011

My family and I (seven people all together) ate at Pomelo on Church near 30th this morning. It's a great place in southern Noe Valley, easily accessible from MUNI as the J Church line stops right in front.
Every one of us had a fabulous meal, starting the strong good coffee to the grapefruit mimosas to the complimentary strawberry-rhubarb muffins. Their brunch menu features a variety of dishes, each one a winner. Each of us had one item from their extensive brunch menu. I loved the Eastlake (smoked trout and red potato hash with wild rice and horseradish cream, two poached eggs and artisanal pugliese toast). The winner though was my mother's Makena - banana-stuffed mascarpone brioche french toast with roasted macadamias and warm coconut syrup.
Service was good, even when the place got packed (as it did soon after we arrived).
Get there early and try whatever you like.
