“Worth Waiting In Line!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

Very affordable and excellent food: what a combination. Located in the Richmond District, the restaurant can get crowded at peak dining hours. If you can swing it, get there early or stop by after 1:30pm for lunch to avoid the lines. The food has a wonderful variety of flavors and each dish is unique in its own way. Try the samosas.

“Very interesting and tasty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

Nice place, very tasty food, not to expensive

I had the vegetarian samosas - quite flavorful and nicely crispy on the outside.

Mint chicken very interesting flavors - mint, garlic, red and green chili peppers and something else (star anise perhaps).

Unfortunately I went alone as there were lots of interesting things worth trying

“A must try”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

I went to Burma Superstar on a recommendation from one of my co-workers. I would have to say this was one of my favorite meals on my trip. While it wasn't perfect, I did enjoy the meal.

The Tea Leaf Salad was great and the Catfish Curry was amazing (just watch out for the bones).

I would recommend calling ahead, since their wait can be pretty long.

“Great Value, Creative Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

We come here, or to their sister (B-Star) up the street. You have to get here early, as it's always packed. This time we had vegetarian samusas, lettuce cups, a steak kebat and the chicken casserole, which had shrimp in it, too. All were excellent, as always. We try to order something different each time we come, and usually are pleasantly surprised. The value for what you get is excellent.

“Tea Leaf Salad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

The food was amazing especially the Tea Leaf Salad. They also easily accommodated my dairy allergy. We did have to wait 20 minutes to get a table even though we called ahead but we went across the street to a coffee shop/bar and had a beer.
