Fino is hidden away in a small hotel next to an alley, and a neon arrow points the way to a bustling, friendly, reasonably priced Italian dinner-which is complemented by very good food. If the setting was a little less crowded it would be more like a restaurant in Italy, but this is San Francisco . Our initial interest was the terrific variety of the menu, from pasta to seafood to veal. the portions are large but generally well done. Our pasta was a little overcooked but the sauce was very good. Veal Milanese was especially good; its been a long time since Ive had a truly tender veal in this dish. Service was excellent....we went to Fino on our last night in SF, so we try to make sure we are not disappointed.. and we went home very pleased.
