Tourists and locals alike, come here and rejoice in the unfettered glory that is the garlic-salt-and-pepper roasted Dungeness crab! Being a very crab-crazed family, this place is second only to cooking live crabs at home. A full bar and nice wine and beer selection allows the diner to pair his/her meal how they see fit. We order the garlic noodles (unbelievable), and then the Shaken beef. These cubes of steak are so tender they literally melt in your mouth. The steak is served on a bed of lettuce prepared almost like a salad. Finally, we order one crab per person (and yes, they're huge, and yes, you'll eat all of it). The crab is so unbelievalbly fresh we swear they run across the street to the ocean to catch them when you order them. Your fingers will be the only thing tastier than the crab when you've finished (and like ribs, there's no shame in licking everything clean--crab or hand!) Do yourself a favor any "R" month (when Dungeness crabs are best), and make the trek to the Outer Sunset. For those wanting a fun trip, go to the Cliff House for a delicious cocktail with stunning views (see our review), then have dinner at Thanh Long. You won't regret it.
