We dined at Calzone's twice in February 2013 and then two more times in April 2013. Yes, the food is so good we keep going back.
We always order either the fuju apples salad (the raspberry vinagerette dressing is really good) or organic beets salad (the red beets are a nicely acidic while the yellow beets are mild) followed by the 5 hour beef & pork sugo (the fresh fettucine is deliciously chewy and the sauce is fantastic - just the right balance of sweet & tart) and smoked salmon pizza (yum!).
Of note pertaining to the service: For some unknown reason the smoked salmon pizza had onions on it during the last visit ... onions is not listed in the menu and we had never received that pizza with onions before. The waiter saw me picking at the pizza trying to remove the onion to very little avail. After about 15 minutes of watching me do so, he came over and offered to replace my pizza with another. We were appreciative of his offer and requested the same pizza just without the onions. He checked the menu and saw the only ingredients listed were smoked salmon, caper, jack, fennel (perhaps the kitchen staff accidentally tossed in white onion slivers as those look like sliced fennel??!!?!). In any case, the replacement pizza came out and all was good.
