“OK...OK”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

It sure doesn't look like much...and has a spartan feel. But...this is a great place for lunch as you tour The City. I think the burgers are great...the beer is cold...and the Java...well, give it a try.

“Great burger”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

Walked from downtown to the Giants Stadium, not on a game day. Not much is open in the area. We stopped at Red's. What a wise decision. yes, it lloks like a dive. But the burgers, yumm. Served on sourdough bread with mustard, pickles, and onions. Their sign says: "We don't do lettuce and tomatoes." Too funny. Great old pics on the wall. Share an order of fries. They come in a big cup.

“A SF institution”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012 via mobile

A "must stop" for me whenever I get out here, for breakfast. Great hearty food, for a decent price (relative to other places in SF). Yes it is a dive, but it is kept that way intentionally, and that is a huge part of the charm of the place. A relaxed breakfast, with Sinatra playing, on a brilliant sunny morning, amidst the historic photos that adorn Reds!

I love how it is in the shadow of the Bay Bridge, along the bustling yet uncrowned Embarcadero, and I just hope it retains its character when the GS Warriors build their new stadium next door!

“Man, get a burger here! great scenery too”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

Man the burgers are good here. The chilli cheese fries are awesome. Go there on your way to a Giants game. The only drawback was that on the back deck the let people bring their dogs. The dogs might be looking for your burger to eat.

“Red's is Certainly Different”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

Just missed out on breakfast but had a quick lunch: hot dog with the works (chopped onion, yellow mustard, and pickles) and an icy cold Bud. As so many have already said, sit outside, enjoy the sunshine, and take in a great view of the Bay Bridge. TBH, during my recent visit I was surprised to see so many "suits" having lunch.

Red's might not be for everyone but I'm glad I stopped by. Even bought a T-Shirt!
