“Worthy of its Michelin Star”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012 via mobile

Had dinner here last week. Wonderful decor in the restaurant and bar. Has 2 delicious cocktails at the bar from the smartly dressed bar staff. This restaurant has a lot of covers but was completely full, always a good sign I think. Opted to sit with a view of the kitchen, staff were working furiously hard. Food and service were beyond excellent which was reflected in the price. Will be my first stop when I'm back in San Fran.

“Go hungry”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

After visiting this restaurant 5 or 6 times over 10? years (when I visited San Francisco) and considering it a great place to eat, I was VERY disappointed the last time on Oct. 19, 2012.
Especially since I brought two other couples with me at my recommendation. The portions served to everyone were miniscule. I understand the pricing of meals in SF but what we were served was far and away cheap. I won't be returning.

“One of the best restaurant experiences”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

Overall the food and flavors were excellent. Atmosphere was very nice and service was good. We got the rabbit ravioli and then the octopus as appetizers, both were delicious. Though for the price of each $15 and $18, I wish the portions were more substantial as they were delicious but only 4 or 5 small bites. I got the salmon dish and it was a home run, the salmon perfectly cooked and the sauce was excellent. Fiance had a lobster dish and the lobster was also cooked perfect, had a great texture and wasn't overcooked. Execution on all dishes was great. They had a decent selection of scotches and drinks as well. Overall a great meal, though expensive and smaller portions. We spent $185 for 2 apps, 2 entrees, drinks and tax and tip, which is one of the most expensive meals we've had.

This is where I always take guests. It's where you take someone who
you want to see the best of San Francisco. True French cuisine....
