“Beautiful - need more time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

We did some wandering on the way to the museum. We needed much more time to do it justice. There was a travelling adult choir singing, food trucks, kids practicing soccer, adults doing tai chi, etc. - all in a beautiful setting with long curving drives and walks.

“A great place to spend a day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

It's a great place to take your family and you can easily spend a day at the park. Bring your little joe or use their grill for a BBQ lunch. After lunch, you can take your family to the rose garden for a nice walk and burn off the calories or just hang around the park to throw some balls with your kids or simply hang around the park and take a nice nap on the grass on sunny sunday afternoon

“beautiful park - would recommend renting segways”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

The GG park is , i believe, slightly larger than central park. There are 2 sections - the west end and the east end. The east side has the japanese tea gardens/conservatory/ rose garden. the west side has the bisons/deer etc and you can make your way through the west side to lands end.

We did this on segways and loved it. We did not book a segway tour with a guide. We rented segways through segway SF bay. The research i did online suggested that this was the only company which rents out segways without having to book a tour with a tour guide. There may be other places for all you know. We enjoyed the segway ride without the restriction of a fixed tour.

It will take approx 2 hours or longer to do the east side alone on segway and upto 3 hours on foot. The west side is another 2 hours by itself.

The japanese gardens were the highlight of the park for me. I thought they were very well laid out. The park is well laid out and makes for a lovely stroll.

“Pleasant and beautiful!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

My family and I visited the park on a Sunday. There were quite many people, but not too many. We got to visit the park's Botanical Garden as well, $7 fee per adult. Plants in the Botanical garden were exquisite! Much fewer people in this park, so if you look for a quiet stroll in the park; I think this Botanical Garden is the place! Japanese tea garden was colorful, but way too crowded. Additional fee required here as well. There should be more public restrooms available at more locations though. Overall, the park was nice and a good place to relax. The ducks, squirrels and other animals were also pleasant to see. A happy, relaxing place. :)

“Wow, what a park!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

This park is gigantic! It is very beautiful and so much to see! Next time we definitely plan on renting one of the peddle boats on Stow Lake.
