The hotel manager lives on premises with his family, very friendly folks. Clean sheets, clean shower...not the "Hilton", but very reasonable price for a safe room. Taylor & Post is a very good location...walkable to many restaurants, and the Wharf for a moderately healthy individual. The only down side for me was the street noise, but it is in the city-what can you do?

We stayed in the Taylor Hotel over the Columbus Day weekend, 2003. A big thank you to the staff for being so kind and helpful! The rooms were definitely basic and maid service costs extra if you want it, but they were clean and exactly as described on their website. The location is extremely convenient and we couldn't find a package this good anywhere else for the price.
