“Good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

Clean, reasonably priced hotel.
The location was good for my business. it's 10 min walk to the Palace of Fine Arts, and 1 hour walk along the bay to the Fisherman's Wharf.
Note that number of parking places is limited (around 10), so if you need parking, you may be out of luck.
No coffee makers in the room, but free tea/coffee in the office.

Room Tip: Lunch/dinner at Liverpool LiL's in the same block.

the room was average sized, clean, with kind out of date furnishings. it had a nice sized and very clean bathroom. the continental breakfast was small dried out pastries, coffee, and juice. there are 8 parking spaces, and they were all full the whole time. the man at the desk said i could park on the street and i wouldn't get a ticket saturday or sunday. that was the extent of my interaction with the staff.

This is not the Ritz, just bare bones lodging. The rooms are on the small side but clean. A refrigerator & safe were in the room. Typical rolls & coffee free of charge in the morning. Internet is free. The biggest plus is free parking, although very limited. If you luck out with one of those spots, take a cab or walk to your destination. Another plus, the Presidio Park is right there, great for strolls, etc. & also Disney Museum.

3 of us stayed here for a show at the Palace of Fine Arts in SF. Hotel is literally a 10 minute walk from the theatre.
All the staff we met were friendly, polite and helpful. Room was fairly spacious but basic, as you'd expect from the price you're paying for central San Francisco. It was clean, the shower was strong and hot, clean white towels, good toiletries, fridge, TV and free reliable WIFI. We were not bothered by noise from anywhere. We've stayed in places in central San Fran who charged $60 to park the car, free hotel parking here is rare. We were lucky according to reviews on here and found a space when we arrived at 7pm.
Breakfast, as people have said on here is served in the reception area, and consists of fresh fruit, coffee, fruit juice and a variety of fresh delicious pastries. It's no hardship to take it back to your room, it's not like it's a mile long walk! And there was plenty left at 9am on a Saturday. There are restaurants nearby, Mel's diner is close if you want a hot breakfast.
For what we paid, and considering the location and all the free stuff we'll definitely go back.

We were looking for a budget motel. This was a great little motel. Not much parking, but you can also parked on the street. The room was clean and the area was quiet, which was good for sleeping. It's a great little motel if you're looking good for a place to get a good night's rest. Thank you.

The inn is quite accessible to muni bus and near to Golden state bridge and few minutes walk from Presidio. The place pretty quiet with occassional sound of buses passby, bus terminal very near to this inn. Parking lot very limited but you can park outside after 6pm for free. Public transportation is very well established, you don't even need a car. The service is pretty prompt when we feedback our room infested with ants and TV not working, immediately the staff changes a room for us and no problem after that. Although the food is limited, but there's several eateries nearby. For Star wars fan, Lucasfilm is just few minutes walk from here where you can find the secretive Yoda fountain. Highly recommended to stay here.

Country Hearth is a small inn located steps from the Presidio, and a very short walk to bus transportation. It is a great place to stay if you do not have your own car; there is very limited parking onsite. As for the rooms, we found our room to be clean and comfortable (yes, a bit worn). Four of us stayed in a double (two adults, two children); the room was a bit small, but we didn't spend much time there outside of sleeping and getting cleaned up. We did have a problem with the toilet and shower, but the front desk responded quickly to our concerns.

I'm not certain it is quite fair for the hotel to advertise a "complimentary continental breakfast" when what they were really offering was simply coffee, a juice machine, and a box of donuts (which was empty one of the mornings of our stay by the time we got downstairs, well within the 'breakfast' time). But for the rates, I didn't mind not having a free breakfast, and there are plenty of other places to eat nearby. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.
