We loved our meal tonight. The wait was about 45 min before opening to get a seat at the chef's bar (we didn't have reservations), and since the weather was typical SF Nov weather (warm and pleasant), it was not a bad wait. If you don't get in the first seating, they will give you a time to return later (you don't have to wait there.)
The dishes that come by on a cart, dim sum style, all look lovely, and it's hard not to accept them all. The prices are fine, but the problem was our stomach size. So look at the menu ahead of time and think about the ones you'll want to pass on when they come by (it will be hard). We split 7 cart dishes and 3 "commandable" dishes (marrow bone, 1/2 state bird, urchin pancakes) and everything was great. We split a 1/2 dessert. The wines (by the glass) were very good. The service was friendly and attentive. All the cooks were having a great time. Everything was great, and we'll be back to eat more of the menu.
