“great tour of the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

This is a great way to see the city and to hear the real facts abot San Fran, If you get on and ride the whole route it will take a little over 2 hrs. If you can tale the bus with the live person telling the stories thats the best. I did both the live guide and the CD route. Once I rode the whole route I then would hop off to see the diff stops.

“Breathtaking, educational and amusing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

We did the day tour, half with tour guide James and half with tour guide Thadius - both of which were outstanding. They were both amusing, interactive and very knowledgeable. They both provided historical info and also amusing less well known info.
Our only request would have been that day buses ran in two directions so if you decided you wanted to get off at the stop that you just passed because you changed your mind you didn't have to go all the way round again, and perhaps buses every 10-15 minutes instead of every 20 minutes and day buses running until 6.30 or 7.
The night tour was really good, very beautiful at night to tour the city and our tour guide for this was James again. We were very pleased to have him as our guide again and he remembered that he had seen us before which is impressive when he must see a lot of faces during the day! He really is a credit to the company, he was so warm and friendly and we felt that we were saying goodbye to a good friend when we finished the tour. Big thumbs up for James and open top sightseeing from Julie and Rachel of Newcastle upon Tyne in England :)

“Informative”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Thanks to Gayle and her commentary as we travelled around the city today. Always find the personal stories about a city the most interesting. She was very friendly and helpful to the customers and she made our last trip in San Francisco one of learning and enjoyment. Hop on these buses and learn as you enjoy the sights of this amazing city.

“Should be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

Old buses, packed with seats, no leg room at all, not precise scedule, not even cheapest headphones (you may heard something from the driver when wind is not blowing or other traffic is dead). Only good thing is that loops are nicely picked.

“Chris the guy with the harmonica”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Greatest tour guide ever!!! Really funny, entertaining and upbeat. Very nice and cordial too! I've done these tours all over - London, Dublin, Edinburgh...always wanted to try my hometown and the other tour guides were boring (maybe bc I'm from here?!) this guy was grt.
