Great Location, Helpful staff, Full Kitchens - what more can one ask for ??

Only grouse, if any, was that it was quite a hike to the nearest grocery - Trader Joes - about 5 -6 blocks uphill.

Rooms were cleaned every day and the views across the SF Bay to Alcatraz were incredible. Only a couple of minutes walk to Hyde Street Pier and the attractions in Fishermans Wharf.

From the outside, it does not look as impressive as some of the "name brands", but the size of the rooms was great especially if you are spending more than one night or if you are on a longer vacation. They do have locked parking, for which they only charge $22/day, the lobby is very small, but our check-in was flawless, and the staff was very, very friendly and accommodating. Our suite was on the 2nd floor and possibly the noisiest in the place, but we kept the doors closed and the cable cars becames less noisy. We walked to the Safeway to get bagels for breakfast which was also very much appreciated after eating in hotels and restaurants the previous four days. Our condo had a full sized refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave, and two burner stove. The coffee was more than ample for our needs, There are tvs in every room and the living room tv was great sized. The living room was also a great size. We had two bedrooms and chose the king room rather than the queen room. The bed was firm but extremely comfortable, and i did not even need to use my own pillow. Although there is no air conditioning, we almost used the heat due to the weather. But every room has a ceiling fan which would certainly circulate the air. The first floor has a great lobby, and the views from the rooftop are fabulous as long as it is not too cold to be up there. You could certainly have your wine and cheese up there. The entire complex was very, very clean as far as I could tell. They do not have clean the room service everyday, but they did clean everything while we were there. We did not need clean towels everyday becaused there were enough towels to last several days. Great water pressure from the shower, as well as ample bathroom amenities. The only "problem" we incurred, except for the cable cars was the flexibility of the bathtub which kind of freaked us out a little. The complex itself is in a fantastic location. It is actually in the Fisherman's Wharf area, but a little removed from the zillions of tourists. It is right on the csble and bus lines for very easy transportation, or you can walk down to the piers. It is a block away from Starbucks and a few other breakfast places, is a block away from Ghirardelli Square, across the street from Danko reataurant, and within a few blocks of several other restaurants. If you were so inclined, you could walk to almost everything including Lombard Street. All in all, it was a great choice to stay and I would definitely return.

Room Tip: I am not sure you have a choice since it is a timeshare, but I would ask for a room on the bay side.

Back in 1985, I did an internship with my Hotel Management School and wound up spending three months as the Resident Manager of the soon to open Inn at Fisherman's Wharf. The Suites at Fisherman's Wharf is the same property that I interned at 28 years ago. I can proudly say that I must have done a pretty good job...the hotel turned out GREAT!

This property is not much to look at from the outside, but it is beautiful inside. And the location is the absolute best for families who want to be near the wharf and cable cars. We parked our Honda Odyssey when we arrived and did not use it for three days until our departure. All of the Wharf adventures are steps away, the Hyde Street cable car line stops at the front door, and the Muni buses stop on North Pointe and can take you to all the other great sites.

The suite is spacious, comfortable and an incredible value. Normal hotel rooms in SF were well above $200/night in July...we paid an average of $190/night for a big suite with full kitchen. The best views at the property are from the rooftop garden. There really aren't any views from the rooms.

Staff was awesome. Great info from the front desk agents who were very helpful. Not a full-service place, we did take care of our own bags (but I gave myself a really generous tip). Night clerk had a very difficult situation one night with some very selfish guests that came back at 2am screaming. He handled it well and got the morons to shut up.

Many great restaurants nearby. Wish I had more coin and less kids so that we could have gone to Gary Danko across the street! In a future life, maybe.

Again, my three months of Resident Manager certainly laid a strong foundation for the Suites at Fisherman's Wharf. For families visiting SF...there could not be a better option.

This was our first time in San Fran. We have 2 girls (10&12). The check in was quick and the room was ready although we were a bit early. There was some construction noise from close by but nothing too bad. The roof terrace was lovely with good views. The beds could have been a little more comfy but overall good value for money.

Good day! The hotel is wonderful. Large bright rooms, comfortable bed, very convenient location. I forgot my bathing suit and it was sent to the Russian absolutely free! The quality of service is excellent. Thank you very much! I'll be back again.

This hotel has a great location, which I think is what a lot of people base their high ratings on. I can attest it has a good location. Right up the street from Ghiardelli and where the streetcars embark from. It also is a decent value for the area. The rooms themselves are clean, the beds are mildly comfortable. The place is a bit older, but they seem to do a good job with the upkeep and cleanliness. It did have everything we were looking for.. except one... NO AC.
Now SF was/is fairly cool, but we were on a 1st floor unit which had a shared patio area. It would have been nice to leave the windows open for fresh air, as the unit had a smell to it and it was quite humid in the unit when we returned for the day. For security reasons, we couldn't leave the sliders open at night, so the unit had no ventilation. These 1st floor units need AC, as they do get warm without open windows.
The bathrooms could use updating.

Staff very friendly no complaints. Parking was $22 a day or so and you have to reserve it in advance.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor.

This hotel was perfect for my family. Loved the fully stocked kitchen, location, roof top deck and the staff. I won't repeat everything that has already been said but believe the reviews. Bed and pull out bed were comfortable. We were in the back of the hotel and had no problems with noise. The only negatives I can think of is spotty wifi and low water pressure in the shower. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!
