“Great location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

A great location, located within walking distance to Pier 39. The rooms were nice and clean. I stayed here with my mom and sister and there was plenty of room for all of us. There is a cable car stop right outside the hotel, but we never used it because everything was so close. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

What a pleasure it was when the airport van pulled up to the door and we were 2 blocks from the Embarcadero. It's an older building, but, everything is re-done and fresh. So much better than being in one room in a hotel. Small kitchen had everything we needed. L/R. dining area, nice, comfy bed, it was great. The staff is friendly, courteous and more than willing to provide answers for the never-ending questions the guests throw at them. We can't wait to come back for another great vacation!

this was truly a suite with good-sized kitchen and living area, our room had no view, looking out into the internal atrium, imagine the rooms with a view would be much superior in this respect. Only gripes were staffing - room not cleaned until mid-afternoon, when i mentioned to reception that the coffee bags had not been replaced, they just said i should stop by when i returned and get more, rather than doing the replacing themselves. This is not a cheap hotel, i expected more.
Sitting area on roof looking out to bay was lovely.

Room Tip: definitely ask for room with a view

Small, unpretentious hotel but an excellent value!! Close to Fisherman's wharf and Pier 39. Cable car line start across the street. Starbucks 1 block away. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a suite for 3 people and there was lot of room and a full kitchen.

Room Tip: The rooms at the rear are a little quieter. There is a small slow elevator. Note there was no restau...

Having already stayed in San Juan Bautista and Monterey on our trip north, we finally arrived in San Francisco. I had done my research, as usual, on Tripadvisor, and according to the previous reviews, this one would be a "no brainer", but you can never be sure. The moment we walked into the hotel all my worries dissappeared. You could tell this was a business that was intent on showing their guests a good time. Our first encounter was with Miguel the shift manager who immediately took out several maps and began explaining the local area and everything that might be important to first time visitors like us. As stated before, the location is perfect, one block to Fisherman's Wharf and more restaurants, museums and shops than you can count. The #47 bus stops out front and will take you almost all the way to the pier 33 Alcatraz terminal. The Hyde Park Cable Car depot to purchase transit day passes is only one block away also. Be sure to purchase a pass as it will save you money. But I digress, sorry, back to the "Suites". We stayed in suite #100, a view room on the second floor overlooking the street below. Noisy ? A little bit, but when you close the windows or as it gets later things get quieter. But hey, this is the big city and the sounds and activity on the streets below are all part of the show and it's quite fun to watch from your private balcony. Our suite was basically a fully equiped one bedroom apartment , supplied with everything one would need for an extended stay except food. The decor was wonderful and the whole suite was beyond spotlessly clean. We visited the rooftop deck and took some great 360 videos of the bay and skyscrapers. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we tried unsuccessfully to extend our stay. Alas, this is a very popular hotel and was booked solid. Now, I hate to mention the price as they may decide to raise it before we can return. My opinion is that considering the quality of their product, the staff and the outstanding location they are offering an unbelievable rate. We intend to rebook for next year, just a longer stay. I'm left with a memory of getting up in the middle of the night for a drink of water. On my way back to bed a light caught my eye and I went to the window to see what it was. I stood and watched as the Alcatraz foglight flashed a lonely, silent beam across the mist covered bay. I can't forget the image or our wonderful stay at the Suites at Fisherman's Wharf.

Room Tip: Request a street view room.

If you don't mind a little street noise from buses and cable cars, this is a very convenient location for touring the city. Lots of restaurants within walking distance (especially in North Beach). Staff is very professional and friendly.

Room Tip: Room 300 has the best views in building but has the roof top deck directly above with some scraping...

This boutique hotel offers some of the best Bay views from the roof top deck, in all of San Francisco. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and all the rooms come with a nicely furnished kitchenette. The location is perfect with the Hyde Park Cable Car right out the front door. What else could you ask for. We have stayed here before and will stay here again.
