“Definitely to be recommended”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

I stayed 9 nights at the Fusion hotel and would definitely recommend it. The reception staff are definitely the hotel's biggest strength. They did everything possible to make my stay a pleasant one.
I was extrmely impressed that there was a computer room we could use an also a gym. These were added bonuses.
The only imperfection was breakfast as there was no healthy option available but, in the greater scheme of things, that was only a minor glitch.

Dear cunctatorCanada,

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for staying with us at Hotel Fusion and for sharing your experience on TripAdvisor.

I am delighted to hear that you had a splendid interaction with our staffs. I am also glad to hear that you were able to utilize our complimentary business and fitness center.

We are undergoing a renovation construction for a banquet room that will allow us to offer more breakfast varieties and a place to sit for all of our guests.

Looking forward to your next visit, and thank you again for your review!

it is meant to be a budget hotel, and with that in mind it is good. it is however in an exellent location and whilst the rooms are very small and simple (a bit stuffy and airless) and breakfast (from a cupboard) is more than basic! the staff are incredibly helpfull and friendly.

The hotel is definitely a budget hotel, rooms are small, but hotel is nice and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful, good location in union square. Has a restaurant/ club next door, went for free drinks that came with the room and looked like a nice place.
Overall a really good value compared to what you can get in such a touristy neighborhood.

The location cannot be beaten - 1 block or so from Market Street cable car turnaround. We got a great deal on our double room which was quite large enough for the 2 of us + suitcases.

We were on the 5th floor just near the breakfast room with an internal view over a low roof to other hotel rooms. We had no issues with noise other than the air conditioning units being a little loud from the other rooms. The view wasn't a problem as we didn't go to San Francisco to stay in the hotel room!

The reception staff were really polite and friendly, check in and out were a breeze.

The area further into The Tenderloin near the hotel is a little suspect so be careful which way you walk back to the hotel at night. If you're coming in from the cable car, you'll be absolutely fine.

Hotel Fusion is right around the corner from all the shopping, bars, restaurants, BART & cable cars! Can't get any better than that!! Booking the reservation was easy and the reservationist on the line was extremely helpful by giving us direction on the easiest and efficient way to get to the hotel by using BART. We arrived to the hotel early in the morning and the front desk staff was able to find us a room right away. Front desk was very welcoming and helpful to those that are unfamiliar with the area. The rates for this boutique hotel are unbeatable especially with the breakfast package that was included in our rates! Housekeeping did a great job and when we had requested turndown service they came right up! Is this a Four or Five Star Hotel because the service and cleanliness was up to par and exceeded my expectations! I live in Las Vegas and the Infusion Lounge definitely reminds me of the nightclubs here in Las Vegas because of the great music and lively atmosphere! I will definitely recommend Hotel Fusion to everyone! You will receive Five Star Service at this wonderful boutique hotel!!!

Right off Union Square 1 block from Bart's Powell Station. Great front desk service. Small, but nicely appointed rooms (w/bathrobes) Sink was an alcove in the bedroom, separate from the toilet and tub. No sink counter space -just a SMALL shelf. Ask for a room away from the nightclub on weekends. We bearly heard it from the 3rd fl.-didnt bother us. Small continental breakfast room for take away only. Considering the lack of hotel space on an extremely busy weekend, this was overall a great value. Im glad I booked early.

Room Tip: Get a lower floor and use the stairs..faster than waiting for the small elevator. (Italian restauran...

Fusion Hotel San Francisco

This is a great hotel in a convenient location for tourists, in the centre of San Francisco, not far from Union Square and the shops.
Our room on the third floor was clean and fresh, the room maid did a particularly good job of making sure of that. My wife and I couldn't have asked any more in that respect.
The girls on the reception desk were really helpful in organising some of our excursions and sorting out the most cost effective way of getting us around town, also, finally arranging our last journey to the airport.
Breakfast is available in a room on the 4th floor where the hotel janitor kept the stocks of breakfast foods full for guests to help themselves. There was available pastries, fruit, and individual packets of flavoured porridge along with the tea, coffee, fruit juice and milk which you take back to your room to consume. There was coffee creamer and hot water to make tea in reception. If you ask nicely you can get milk for your tea. It seems that the Americans can’t quite get the hang of us Brits and our tea habit; they all seem drink coffee or tea without milk.
If I have a small criticism, and it is small, it would be the variety of choice for breakfast. After the second day it all seemed rather sweet. May I suggest some breakfast cereal such as Cornflakes or perhaps Weetabix as an alternative?

Should you require a no fuss, convenient, reasonably priced place to stay within walking distance of the main shops, China Town, and cable car stops in San Francisco, then this is the one for you.

Room Tip: Room sizes vary, ask for a larger one if available
