We were taken to Smitten by our Uncle and Aunt, who had talked excitedly about the made to order in 60 seconds ice-cream. This place doesn't disappoint, a curious mix of converted sea-going container and high-tech ice-cream machines "Kelvins" with wooden bench seating. The theatre is in watching the 4 machines, each making an individual flavour, this is where the dry-ice comes into its own. In the UK we regularly see Heston Blumenthal producing liquid nitrogen creamy concoctions - he always eulogises about the lack of crystals and the smooth quality of the ice-cream. Well here at Smitten you can see what al the fuss is about! Its great theatre and fantastic tasting ice-cream. Our part opted for Vanilla, which was super smooth and creamy. We also tried the sticky toffee pudding which was SUBLIME!
Go, you won't be disappointed, as the spectacle of the production and the taste of the end-product excite and amaze.
We loved it!
