Located in the gorgeous former space of bacar, this restaurant retains the dazzle and electricity of its former glory. However, the food, while very well-prepared, lacked originality and creativity. I will confess that I am not a steak fanatic and find steakhouses to be uniformly over-priced, but the prices here were astronomical, even by San Francisco standards. If I'm spending that kind of money, I'd prefer Boulevard or Gary Danko ( and would still have some money left over....).
