2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

2 cafe au lait+2 eggs benedict+2 soft boiled eggs (they were overcooked)= 40 USD. Atmosphere is not relax and service is poor .Plates are small. No value for money. There is something strange it seems waiters are not happy to work there and the french boss is not really friendly. Not impressed I will not go back.

“a little taste of la belle france downtown sf”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years and am happy to report that it has not lost any of its charm, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere. Its excellent location in the hear of San Francisco on a street corner busy with people but not cars. A treat is to sit outdoors in the afternoon sun between 4 pm and 7 pm in the summer and watch locals and tourists mingle and go about their lives. The food is excellent, the menu simple and the service friendly, fast, efficient and helpful. Excellent place to hang out for a couple of hours, even if only to have a cup of coffee or a drink. An added bonus is the large selection of foreign magazines, especially French and German ones, Der Spiegel, for example.

“Easy eats in San Fran!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Recommended for a quick easy lunch by the Clift Hotel staff, we enjoyed the Cafe a lot! We sat at the bar and talked with the bartender, who was from Southern Ca, most of the lunch. Ease good food and a casual atmosphere that makes for a great little lunch place as you wander around Chinatown, being just at the gate to Chinatown.

“Very good Cafe in San Francisco”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We went to have breakfast early in a Sunday morning. The coffee was very good and the almond croissant was delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. It is a good place to start your visit to China town.

“Fun and good food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

We had a nice breakfast here twice, maybe three times, and lunch once, during our stay. We chose it because it was close to our hotel. We returned because we loved the atmosphere.
