“thanks for the delicious food, good memories...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

Last Aug. my husband and I took our daughter on a wonderful 10days vacation to SF.
We’ve been to this restaurant twice during our stay in SF.
My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict, I ordered the French toast, fruit bowl and pancake for our daughter.
The portions were huge, and besides all of our orders came with many pieces of toast.
Eggs were poached well, French toast was really good, sweet and mild flavor.
The fresh fruit bowl has all sorts of fruits, very fresh.
Super scrumptious, loved everything!
I like the orange jam and coffee in particular, they are decent.
Not those cheap ones.

Service was good and they were very friendly, although very busy place.
We waited maybe 20 minutes, but we didn’t mind.
It's a cool place and they have good prices.
This place is worth it!!

“Amazing food!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012 via mobile

Got there at 9am on sunday and there was a lineup. Waited 15 minutes and all worth it! The food was amazing! We had the croissant and egg bacon, and the 2 eggs and sausage. Both plates come with a massive bowl of fruits. It's way too much food for 2 people, all for less than $25.
The baguette (instead of plain ol sliced bread) was the highlight for me.
Also great service, polite servers and very helpful!
Would definitely go again if we're in sfo.

“Great breakfast!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012 via mobile

We had breakfast here on our last morning in San Francisco and were so happy we stopped in!
This is a small, quaint place for breakfast with outstanding service, great food, and the biggest 'side of fruit' I've ever seen at a restaurant!
The morning we were there it was very busy, but the staff at Hollywood Cafe are so efficient that they keep the tables moving without making you feel rushed. One thing we couldn't help but notice was how well the staff all worked together...it was actually fun to watch them interact as a team.
I had a simple eggs/toast/hashbrowns meal and everything was great. The toast - San Francisco sour dough - was sooo good! The star of the meal, though, was the tower of fresh fruit served with my partners meal...very tasty!!
Don't miss the Hollywood Cafe!

“Enjoyed Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Found this place on Tripadvisor and decided to try it out for breakfast one morning as it was a quick walk from our hotel. The cafe had comfortable seating and there were many options to choose from. We both liked our food, having pancakes and a vegetarian sandwich. The portions were quite big. The service was quick so it provided a great start to the day.

“a lot of food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

i have been there a couple of times and ordered the french toast combo and the pancake combo. the french toast was excellent and the pancakes were good. one point about this restaurant is that you can order pure maple syrup for your cakes. $1.50 extra. about the food: the combos come with eggs and sausage. you get three eggs and three sausages PLUS one of the best servings of fruit that i have ever seen. the ladies may want to substitute the fruit plate for one of their sides. the quantity is just enormous and it is very good. do not order the hash browns unless you want a LOT of hash browns. the hash browns are very good but a serving will cover the average entree plate. just ginormous. patti had the denver omeiette which was exceptional. the franciscan omelette was also good. it's a good place and it's on the cable car line - at end of the powell street line.
