“Fusion of Mexican, trendy, locals and organic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

This place has got a trendy, more local SanFrancisco hipster vibe. The place promotes itself as sustainable, organic Mexican and the food is pretty good too. (I had chicken in a black sauce).. In keeping with the vibe, your servers will likely have tattoos and be cool.

“unique twist on "mexican food"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

The food is very fresh with unique and unusual dishes. The bloody "Maria's" are very spicy so watch out. Our family ordered Quesadilla Rojo & Prima along with Ensalada de Lechuga (very fresh) as well as Chilaquiles ordered by our adult daughters which they enjoyed. This is more of a local joint so if you are a tourist or in a hurry, make sure you let them know ahead of time as the wait staff can move a little slow. This is not for families with small children as the menu is very limited.

“Nice meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

came here with the kids - one fell asleep and one didn't like anything - so ditch the kids and go yourselves! the food was quite nice (i have been to an amazing mexican restaurant in NZ recently so its hard to measure up!). the decor is nice and the staff were great. if you have a mexican craving - check it out.

“Disappointing Mexican food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

The menu had looked interesting and the setting combined an awning enclosed "outdoor" eating area plus an indoor. We had been in the area, looking for Peet's Coffee (our favorite!) but unfortunately, all three things my husband and I ordered at Nopalito were disappointing. We will not return.

“Lunch at the Lito”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

On my way to Golden Gate park for the day, I stopped in to Nopalito for lunch and sure was glad I did. I thought the food was excellent. Very fresh, awesome flavors and a unique twist on Mexican. Try it and you will like it. The atmosphere was nice, easy to talk and enjoy the yummy food!
