“Day of tickets”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Discovered that they sell day of tickets at the box office for as little as $20! Got rear orchestra, third seat off the aisle for Mahler's 9th. It was terrific.

“A treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

I've been going to the Symphony for 40 years and it's only gotten better under Michael Tilson-Thomas. The programs are interesting and the playing is world-class.

“Nutcracker”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We saw the Nutcracker with my kids 3 and 5. My 3 years old love it she sat through the whole show. We got the balcony seats and it was a great view. It is expensive but worth the preformance and the place was amazing.

“World class music”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

San Francisco's symphony is stellar and offers a great mix of pieces from the well-known classics to more contemporary works. Under maestro Michael Tilson Thomas, they go beyond the usual to stretch the audience in new ways. Recent highlights include American composers like John Adams and Mason Bates along with some lesser known Russian works. Definitely worth sampling as part of your visit!
