“Had a nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012 via mobile

Stayed here for the Nike Women's Marathon. Chose this hotel based on its proximity to the race and the activities surrounding it at Union Square. Very convienient to shopping, cables cars and restaurants. Had no problem getting around without a car. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but took that for being in downtown San Fran. Ate breakfast in the restaurant one morning of our stay and they had a nice laid out buffett. All in all had a great stay and would come back if in the area.

Stayed in the premier suite and it was well worth it. Room was big, clean and bed was comfy. Bathroom itself was big too. Great location as it was close to shopping, chinatown and the famous cable car stop. Starbucks and Walgreens are just across the road from the hotel so that was a great convenience to stock up on coffee and basic necessities. Wouldn't mind staying here again

The hotel is quite good, not on the luxurious side, but with Marriot standards. This was a business trip. The hotel is very well located, in Sutter and Powell, just one short block from Union Square, in downtown.
Bathroom a little too small, but in the overall a good place to stay. As many hotels in downtown San Franciscno and for that special week, prices are quite high.

This is a nice hotel, with an excellent location very close to Union Square in downtown San Francisco. Quiet, clean, large rooms (at least mine on the 26th floor). The lobby doesn't look very special, but the staff was very nice, espacially the concierge who helped us rent bikes and organize a trip to Muir Woods. Breakfast included for Elite members. Served on 28th floor with an excellent view of Union Square and the nearby hotels (Especially Sir Francis Drake blocks part of the view).

We stayed in Marriott Union Square for one night in October 2012. The hotel is located downtown a couple blocks away from the Union Square. The room was a good size with a comfy bed. Overall it was pretty clean and inviting. The onsite parking is very expensive ($9 per hour). You can park in a garage one block away on Sutter and Stockton for $1.00 to $3.50 per hour.

This is a great place. Great location (right on cable car line) easy to drive to and drive away from. Vallet parking. Can be expensive. Room service great. Overall service was great - but then again i found out that the owner has the same last name as me :-P

6 women decided to go to San Francisco and stay at the Marriott in Union Square. We shared rooms, which were spacious and had two double beds in each. Very roomy and comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect for sight seeing, and the concierge staff was wonderful in helping us plan each of our activities. The price was reasonable and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco.
