This is a ordinary and unfriendly hotel with antiques and a good story.
When you enter the reception you see two beautiful rooms filled with paintings, books, old furniture and two fireplaces (gas). It looks expensive and is expensive. The hotel has a good marketing story about ghosts: "The haunted house".
The rooms are ordinary, but spotless and clean.
If you want to eat healthy, the breakfast is nothing. Mostly sweet cakes. But you can get hard boiled eggs, coffee and some fruit.
When you come to San Francisco, you come to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You like to get advice and suggestions. And here we are with the problems of this hotel:
They have a culture where the people working in the reception, are unfriendly. They never say good morning, they do not like to help you, they do not seem to like questions, and they do not look at you when talking. They can call for a taxi, but if you would like to wait for the taxi on the streets, they threaten to cancel the reservation, because they think you will let them down and take another taxi.
So when you are being met with this approach, you do not bother to talk to them anymore or to ask them questions. But since I am a journalist with good research ability, this is not a big problem.
But it is sad for the hotel, because they do not deserve guests in the long run, if they do not improve.
