“Full of life and vibrancy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

I have visited San Francisco 3 times and each time, I have to go to Fisherman's Wharf to see the sea lions on the wharf, to eat in one of the wonderful restaurants and to simply laugh at the street performers. I love street vendors, musicians, artists, etc. and Fisherman's Wharf has them all in spades!

“Good way to spend a few hours shopping and eating seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014

This is an enjoyable experience for what it is. Don't go here expecting to be blown away by something you have never seen before. I would definitely head down to see what it's all about... people watching, a nice walk, shopping, great seafood.

“Fisherman's Wharf is like every other Fisherman's Wharf”

Nothing much interesting to sight see besides the battleship that was parked near Pier 41. The chowder soup isn't that great either.

Nice to take long walking near the wharf and eat nice seafood over it. Try to taste the crab sandwich. Delicious!

“Exactly what you would expect”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

Went for a long 4th of July weekend and honestly, it was just what you would expect from a place like this: touristy, crowded and everything overpriced. If you love crab, this is the place to be. All kinds of quick eats involving crab, shrimp and the all so popular "fish and chips" served everywhere else in San Francisco. Expect the smell of boiling crab to hover over this area but walk a bit further towards the water and find an old arcade museum that houses vintage mechanical games. Very unique place, long way from X-Box though. Keep on going to check out the Sub and the Liberty ship, interesting history. If you keep on walking, you'll end up in Pier 39. Have a sit down lunch or dinner at Boudin and expect to drop some serious cash plus pay an extra 3% charge added to your bill for some sort of "waiter's tax"???
