“Walk the bridge!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

Walk (or bike) the bridge for a great perspective and view of San Francisco. Then hike down to Marshall’s Beach, walk along the beach until your right next to the SF side anchorage. Best pics (on the SF side of the gate) of the bridge are from down there. After 51 years I finally took the hike down/up and it’s well worth it! Go on a sunny late evening for the best dusk lighting.

“More spectacular than any photo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

I had seen many pictures of the bridge but it is only when you see it personally that you grasp its magnificence. We took a bus and got off at the last stop (Golden Gate Brigde) then walked towards and on the bridge (an easy 5-10 min walk until you are on the bridge). I'm afraid of heights but was not scared to walk over the bridge since it is very wide including for pedestrians. It got incredibly windy while and also very cold (we visited end of may). Make sure you take a wind-breaker, wear comfy shoes and are warm enough in order to best enjoy your visit. Worse case scenario you can buy a sweatshirt in the souvenier shop right when you get off the bus.

“Magnificent!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

We took a tour bus that took us to the Golden Gate Bridge and Park. The bridge is actually a terra cotta color during the day and shines Golden at night. What a magnificent product of mankind. The cables are huge, the bridge gives a very solid look. We were told that the designers of the bridge were told it would never work, boy did they get that wrong. I can see why it is San Francisco's Pride and Joy. It is another Wonder of the World and a Must See.

“Hire a bike!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

The Golden Gate Bridge is breathtaking and riding bikes over it was so special! Would recommend Blazing Saddles. Also take a coat, it is freezing up there!
