“Great place to stay!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2011

Had a great stay ay the Adams Inn. The staff was very friendly and informative. The breakfast was good. Loved Boston! Definitely a place to stay when in the Boston area. I had an incredible room overlooking the river. This hotel is directly on the river.

Room Tip: Ask for the river view.

Thank you for the great review. We take pride in being able to offer a great hotel right outside the Boston area.
I hope you got a chance to see one of our amazing sun sets along the river or from our Pub deck.
We look forward to having you as our guest in the future.

Positives:
1. Spacious, clean room.
2. Good breakfast (choice from a few options such as eggs with bacon/sausage and toast, pancakes, etc.).
3. Free airport shuttle.
4. Not far from North Quincy metro station (10min walk) – it takes 15-25 mins to get to downtown Boston.
5. Nice location on the bank of the river.
6. Great restaurant on site.

Negatives:
1. Major concern: Windows would not open and the AC is so extremely loud one cannot leave it on when in the room so it gets fairly hot with no fresh air.
2. Relatively noisy – except for AC, you can hear neighbors and people in the hallway very clearly.

Thank you for the GREAT review. You really hit on some of our key features of the hotel. We do offer some great complimentary amenities for all of our guest. Some of these things you would have to pay for in the downtown hotels.
I will pass along your concerns and make sure these are issues are addressed.
Again thank you for the review and we look forward to having you as our guest in the future.

Stayed here 2 nights as we were boarding the Maasdam on July 23 for a 35 day Voyage of the Vikings cruise. This hotel had a great free breakfast and offered free drop off pick up at the cruise/airport terminals. Clean with a good restaurant. A trolley came right to the hotel and picked people up to take them to a central location for the Hop On Hop Off trolley. We had a great tour of Boston on the trolley. We booked the Park n Stay rate which gave us free parking for 2 weeks for each day.

Friendly staff, clean hotel, nice scenic location.

Room Tip: Rooms were clean and fine for what we were looking for. Beds were comfortable.

Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor!!!! I see you took advantage of our Park, Stay and Travel package and like all of our guests it suited you perfectly.
This is our most popular package. We are the original hotel in the Boston area to start this package and over the year more and more people have come to us for this service because we always keep our package affordable and consistent.
We hope to have you back again on your next trip!!!

My husband, son, and I stayed in a junior suite at the Best Western Adams Inn for a family wedding in August. The rest of the family stayed in the regular rooms. I'm so glad we paid the extra money for the suite! The room was clean, and the bathroom was clearly newly updated. The decor was slightly dated, but it was a good room. The maid service for our room was fantastic, and the front desk was fast and courteous with all concerns.

The rest of the family, however, stayed in regular rooms that were blocked off for the wedding. They were old, shabby, and not cleaned in a timely fashion. The only benefit they had over our room was the view: water views for them; parking lot view for us.

For the price and location, this hotel was a good value, but be sure to book the junior suite.

Thank you for your response and the great ratings!!! Our Jr Suites are very nice rooms and during this winter we are going to continue our updating of the rest of our rooms to bring them to the same quality as our Jr Suites.

Specially liked to mention about the front desk for a person named Diane. She was the most horrible person , rude and so unhelpful. They never sent a cab to pick me up. Have so many hidden clauses. The shuttles are only available for pick up and drop at the airport and not in between. The shuttles take ages to come. Even they take ages to respond to guest on the phones. Horryfying rooms, dingy, very old construction and too small.Breakfast options also had lot of disclaimers and was not sufficent for anyone.Looks on the website seem deceptive however thats the catch. Please stay away at all cost

Its very unfortunate you feel this way about our hotel. We are always getting great reviews about our complimentary shuttle service and free hot breakfast. Most hotels in the are charge for these service.
We definitely do not have any thing deceptive on our web site to lure guest in. We have service and polices that we have to follow and sometimes guest want things that are outside the services we offer.
We do also offer shuttle service to other locations in the Quincy area but not to downtown Boston because the MBTA is only 1/2 mile from the hotel and the is the easiest way for guest to avoid traffic and get to the city.

This Hotel if you can call it one is a dump. When I walked inside first thing I thought was I'm in a nursing home. Construction was going on outside and the staff there were not of any assistance even getting to our room. When we got to our room it smelt disgusting and the air conditioner didn't work properly. We lifted up the sheets and they were old, had stains, and felt like sandpaper. We dropped our bags and went up to the pub. Not a "pub" at all. They barely had any choice draft beer and the atmosphere was boring. I ordered food and it took about 30 minutes to come out. The food was absolutely disgusting. I couldn't even eat it honest to God. When I was walkign back to the room I looked inside the kitchen and it didnt look clean and I saw dead mice in the back of a cooler/refrigerator that had its panel off. To sum up the whole experience we left that night to stay in a Comfort Inn down the street.

Wow its hard to find this true!!! We have great rating with Best Western and take pride in the quality of our hotel. As you can see by other posting we do offer a great service and great rates.
The construction going on outside of the hotel is clearly out of our control and is being done by the state to help improve the access to the hotel and the city. It is very unfair to rate us on something like that but either way it is going to be a beautiful entrance to the City of Quincy.
Also our Pub always gets great review and we only offer Sam Adams on tap because we are th Adams Pub and we work closely with Sam Adams to always have the best of Boston's brew on tap and coolers full of many other selections.

Comfortable bed. What more does one need? The complementary breakfast is unique as far as I know. It is served in the hotel's small restaurant. One of four choices is available free. Or, one can order one of several more sumptuous breakfasts such as eggs Benedict and receive a $3.00 discount. Next, the hotel is not easy to find; it's beside and below a route 3A bridge and overpass that is under repair. One stays on the right as one crosses the bridge going south (more or less), then turns to the left, passes under the bridge/overpass, turns left again under the bridge/overpass and, voila, the hotel is on the right. Finally -- otherwise, 5 stars -- the toilet paper is thin, painfully thin; bring your own. I do, because most motels skimp on this essential. I have no idea why.

Thank you for your response and the great review!!!! As you said we do offer a very nice complimentary hot breakfast along with many other complimentary amenities.
Next time you travel to the area the construction should be done but if there is ever a problem finding the hotel do not hesitate to let us help you find your way.
