“A nice Marriott.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013 via mobile

Ths is a nice Marriott. Nice views, nice amenities, nice restaurants and pubs. Only thing they need to improve is adding free wifi and free parking. Why do we pay $12.95 for things most hotels include for free.

A good Marriott. Out of the way. Can be hard to navigate the traffic in and out. Out-of-hotel restaurants and shopping are a significant car trip away.
Rooms were as expected at Marriott. Clean, comfortable.
The daily charge for in-room WiFi is really annoying. Especially when you have multiple devices to set up (i.e. phones, tablets). Rating would be 4 stars if in-room WiFi was included.
Breakfast was very good. The eggs are excellent. Breakfast experience and service better than expected.
We stayed in the Quincy suburbs to be close to family who live in various Boston suburbs. Next time, I think we'll find another location.

My wife and I have stayed that this property on two different occasions. It is a very nice facility with multiple dining options within the hotel and amenities.

I will say that the location can be very difficult to find and there are little to no options for dining, shopping and entertainment in the immediate area. We like this facility because it is very close to family, so definitely do your homework on location and what your location needs are, as traffic can be a bear on I93.

The hotel can be very busy with events, conferences and weddings, so know that going in if you are staying a weekend. There were actually two weddings the weekend we stayed, however, the facility is larger enough to not feel overcrowded.

We ended up with a room near the elevator, so it was a little louder and one of the wedding parties was staying on our floor as well. Overall a good quality sleep, but would definitely ask for a room away from the elevator lobby on each floor.

We dined at both the sit down restaurant for dinner and lunch in the lounge/bar. The food is good and wide variety of both menus. In the sit down restaurant, I would highly recommend the all you can eat prime rib and also the housemade bacon tater tots. They are pretty awesome!!

Nice place, out of the way, hard to find. Internet policy $12.95 day and parking fees really out of place for this facility. I hate being nickled & dimed. My real complaint is the VERY POOR (unacceptable) customer service!!!
1. Received a fax regarding an important business matter, signed it and asked the clerk to send back. Told me it was completed; my mistake for not asking for proof. Two days later when business contacted me looking for the document it became obvious - wasn't sent!
2. Found out about fax problem late at night, I contacted Front Desk Manager who PROMISED to leave a note at the front desk to confirm if it had been sent. He never followed through on that promise. When questioned later he gave a flimsy excuse about having to work until 4am (that's your JOB)
3. Folio (receipt) was never sent to my email as requested. Additional charges were made after the bill was slipped under my door the day of checkout. My email address was in their records from making the reservation and follow up notices (reservation reminder). I had to call to request a copy but heck I've got nothing better to do than chase people for not doing their jobs.
4. Logged in to check my Marriott Rewards account and notice now a month after checkout no credit for points or # of night stays. Two phone calls later got that problem corrected.

Absolutely agree with other reviews that indicate VERY COLD in lobby, hallways, public areas and meeting rooms. Shouldn't have to wear a sweater inside on a 90F degree day.

Nice place overall that has problems which could be corrected WITH PROPER MANAGEMENT (not currently in place).

We had an event in Boston and stayed here for two nights. It's very clean, affordable and close to everything. You are 5 minutes from South Shore Plaza and lots of Restaurants. It's a short 20 min. drive into the city. We ordered room service for breakfast and dinner. The prices were the same as going to the in-house restaurant and the food was delish! The morning we left, we enjoyed the all you can eat breakfast buffet($16.95/pp). This place is everything you would expect from Marriott. Would recommend this place to all.

Room Tip: We asked for connecting rooms...double to a double and they were most accommodating....a lower floor...

For the second visit in a row, sitting late into evening in lobby. That is due to unwillingness to pay $12.95 per day for in-room Internet access (service is no charge in lobby). Last visit I reviewed important business material within short distance of noisy open lounge. Tonight I attempted escape to business center with door closed. Unfortunately, the overhead piped in pop music has no controls and is as bad as sitting next to the lounge. I asked an attendant if their was any relief. No luck. I could charge my company another $12.95 on top of $300+ to be expended for a nine hour stay. That would allow me the quiet and comfort of reviewing another important 200+ page document. But, on principle, I will plow through at no charge, including having this opportunity on Trip Advisor (my first negative review). Marriott is a good operator overall. But they need to hear this concern if they wish to earn any more business from us.

We were there for the Cadillac LaSalle Grand National. It was great. There was room for all the cars 500. The breakfast in the concierge lounge was very good. The entrance to the lounge was only 30.00 a day more than room rate. Snacks and an honor bar late in the day, and desserts and coffee at night. The hotel did a good job accomodating 1000 people. We were away from the city, however, the hotel had a shuttle. It certainly isn't a Marriott resort hotel, but was fine for what was needed. The food the night of the banquet was delivered hot and very efficiently and was good. The wait staff was excellent and very accomodating.

Room Tip: All the rooms have about the same view city and greenery.
