We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed the cruise liners as the dropped
anchor in the bay. The spectacular colors of autumn were awsome throught the park and all of Maine.
The spa and all the employees was outstanding, the spa services
were very professional, evident of a throughly trained staff with
high standards. The spa also offers massages for men and my husband
enjoyed the gift of one for our anniversary. YES we will return.

We stayed here for 5 nights a few weeks ago. We loved it! We stayed in the oceanfront lodge, room 421 I believe. The view was wonderful. We really liked the room as well. We got one of the packages that included some meals at the hotel restaurant, which was excellent. The continental breakfast was pretty good as well. It's best to get there earlier in my opinion. But it was great to eat at one of the tables outside. The hotel is right near many fun shops & restaurants you can walk to in just a couple of minutes. It's also a short drive to Acadia National Park, so that was convenient. The only thing I found that I didn't like at the hotel was no microwave in the room. We ate at so many great places and I would have loved to reheat some leftovers! In the morning we had a great view of the sunrise from our balcony. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Having the free wireless internet was great, we had no issues using it. We would definitely stay here again!

First of all, you are greeted by waiters and waitresses dressed formal and the pianist is playing romantic music for the perfect ambiance. We were seated at a window table overlooking the harbor and the view defies words. It is spectacular! As the sun sets and the cruise ships set sail to return to the sea, we placed our orders for dinner. Yes, the meals are expensive, but absolutely delicious. I had a lobster dinner and every step of it was grand in both appearance and taste, from appetizer to dessert. We felt as though we were cast in a movie scene from some exotic faraway site. It feels good to be spoiled at least once in your life, and a vacation getaway is the perfect time to spoil yourself. Bar Harbor is a perfect vacation site. We have been there twice for 3 day stays, and might well do it again someday. From the views atop Cadillac Mountain, to the casual feel at Jordan Pond, to the sandy beach near Thunder Hole, and the luxury of Bar Harbor Inn this is the perfect vacation getaway spot. Try it and you will love it!

While the travel date I selected was November 2011, in reality we were there in October 2010. The computer would not give me the option to select the true date. Go to Bar Harbor in the fall. The colors are exceptional!

We decided at the last minute to head to Maine for a long weekend. I was pleased when the Bar Harbor Inn had a room available. Having never been to Bar Harbor before I wasn't sure what to expect, but we were very pleased with the friendly staff and the amazing view from our corner room. The balcony faced Frenchman's Bay and the islands leading to the Atlantic Ocean. The room was pricey, but it was large and nicely decorated (a bit worn around the edges). We enjoyed a breakfast special at a very good price, but eat dinner elsewhere. There really is no other hotel on the island that has views quite like the inn, but we did see alot of lovely views through out our stay in Bar Harbor and the National Park.
