“Good location for the Acadia National Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014 via mobile

Located between the park entrance and Bar Harbor this motel is a good starting point for your nature excursions and nightly dinner trips. Breakfast was good, our room was quite, clean and spacious. Service was friendly.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

My husband and I stayed here this past week while visiting Acadia. We were happy to find a good hotel just outside of town (about a mile). The prices were super reasonable for Bar Harbor, it helped that it was just before the busy season. The room was big, the king bed was comfy, clean bathroom!

The hotel offered a free, full continental breakfast, we chose to eat in town, but it was nice to have the option. Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24 hours a day, also cheese and crackers and warm cookies in the afternoon.

The staff was super friendly. The pool was heated and open, so was the hot tub! The weather in town was a little chilly, so we had the whole hot tub and pool to ourselves.

The hotel isn't 4 stars and isn't pristine, but what matters is there. We would go back and stay anytime.

The bus line that runs through town and the park wasn't running when we were there but the stop was right in front of the hotel. SUPER plus!

Overall wonderful experience!

Enjoyed several nights in a clean spacious room on the first floor of the Acadia Inn. The continental breakfast choices were great. Added surprise was the 24 hour coffee, cheese and crackers in the early evening, hot soup and cookies. The location was excellent, so close to the entrance to Acadia National Park-Staff was great! Hope to return soon!!

Room Tip: we had an end room (101) on the corner, was quiet, convenient to exit and parking.

To me, this was a little pricey for a hotel but I'm used to staying at motels that accept dogs (and are cheaper), so perhaps I have a skewed opinion. In my opinion, the room was nice enough, the staff was friendly and I was glad, for the price, that breakfast was included. My friend is used to ritzier hotels so she wasn't really a fan. We both agreed that there was a weird smell- a little musty or stagnant. We got used to it and it didn't really affect our stay. The room was clean and had all of the amenities that you could want. The elevator was a little slow (mainly, the door opened VERY slowly) which bothered me thinking it wasn't working well so I preferred to take the stairs. I would stay here again though.

We spent memorial weekend at the Acadia Inn. It was a little disappointing to not have the pool and hot tub working, but we were able to use the one across the street. The rooms are very nice and clean, but have a very strong odor of fresh paint. Breakfast was OK, but toast would have been a nice feature.

Very comfortable stay and reasonable rates for our stay in May. Great location, easy to get to Acadia and downtown. Room was very clean, shower had great pressure and beds made for a sound nights sleep! Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Big breakfast room, delicious waffles and French toast and many other choices. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.
