“LOVELY WALK AFTER A MEAL”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

The shore path goes around the end of town and is two miles long. It starts at the Bar Harbor Inn and ends when there is no more path. You pass many beautiful huge houses with great lawns, and on your other side is the sea and the rocks leading down to it. The path is concrete so it is very comfortable to stroll along looking at beautiful Frenchman Bay, holding hands and wishing you would never have to leave this idyllic little town.

The Shore path in Bar Harbor is an easy walk along the shore. Muddy in spots but a great spot to watch a sunrise.

“Breathtaking!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

We strolled the Shore Path while in Acadia National Park. It is an easy walk along the ocean, and it takes you to several of the parks highlights. We took a light picnic and walked down to the ocean from the path to have lunch on the rocks. It was wonderful! This path does wander close to the road, so be careful if you're taking children with you. We only did about half of it, then retraced our steps and drove the rest of the way. I highly recommend this, as well as everything else in Acadia National Park.

The Hikers pathway around Bar Harbor marina is a beautiful walk along the shore which provides a very good view of the Harbor and the islands within the bay. You can witness cruise ships berthed very often as seen in one of the photographs. Its a beautiful way to unwind and immerse yourself in bay watching.
