“Young People on a Budget”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

This place is great if you are on a budget. For young people in our situation, it gives you all you need in a clean room. Also, it is very affordable and close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor! I would recommend this to anyone who is not looking for a resort. The staff is also very pleasant!

The Acadia Pines was a very nice motel. It was much cheaper than other local motels so I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. Great place to stay without spending a fortune. Would definitely recommend it to others. Nice bonus is the mini-golf course, BBQ place and ice cream shop all within walking distance. Short drive to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

The Acadia Pines Motel was one of the best motels/hotels I have ever been to. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the scenery was spectacular. There was an outdoor pool which at night was quiet and serene and was kept open until 11 p.m. allowing for a late night swim with the family. The motel is surrounded my woodlands and allows for an authentic Maine experience. Around the motel also included a beautiful gazebo decorated with flowers and benches for sitting and also a picnic area with 3-4 picnic tables. The rooms are very nice and includes kitchenettes which helped decrease the cost of food since we just brought our own and cooked it in the room rather than spend more money on eating out every time we wanted to have a meal. The beds were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was always clean and stocked with new soap and towels everyday.

Close to everything in Bar Harbor! Only 3 mins from Park entrance! Pool warm and enjoyable. Staff is helpful and friendly. This was a very good hotel and I would definitely stay there again! I hope that this is the first place you consider on your trip to bar harbor.

We stayed here couple of times during the last few years. It was a good place for a budget travel. But on our recent stay, we observed a decrease in the quality of the Hotel. We probably may not choose this place again.

Our family of 14 invaded Acadia Pines Motel for 4 days over the 2013 MDI Marathon weekend. We were totally happy with our stay. We were upgraded to family and kitchen rooms so that we could all be close. The owners and staff were amazingly friendly and made our stay feel like we were at home. The kitchenettes are completely stocked. The grounds are very welcoming and a great pool for all the family.

I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 rating overall.
Think I'll try to look for a different place to stay next time in Acadia.

About 20 minutes drive from Bar Harbor and main Acadia attractions.

Pros:
Reasonable price comparing to other motels and hotels.
Nice staff; we received a free room upgrade because they had free better rooms.
Spacious rooms.

Cons:
Not very clean (found somebody's sock in our room; piece of hair; spiders on the door warmly greeted us). Not too dirty, either.
Needs renovation...
