We dined at the Main Street location near the boat docks because they give a discount with tickets from the whale watch cruise. The views are excellent-- right on the water. It is very casual with paper and plastic plates and utensils. The food was pretty good. I had the lobster bake. Another person in our party had the salmon, which was excellent. The chowder was just average compared to other Bar Harbor restaurants. The blueberry pie was below average and was served cold, like the packaged grocery store kind. The service was exceptionally slow, and we had to ask for things numerous times repeatedly. Even with the discount, the food was expensive-- paying for the location

Dinner at Stewman's is fantastic. The food is exactly what you expect at a Maine lobster pound -- lobster, lobster rolls, fried clams, etc. The menu also includes some creative items that one would not expects such as the cobb salad with marinated steak. All of the food was exceptional in quality and quantity. The kids meals were huge. But, along with the exceptional quality comes exceptional price. This restaurant is very expensive, but worth it. The view from the rooftop deck is unsurpassed in Bar Harbor. When in Bar Harbor make sure you dine at Stewman's at least once.
