“Good value and pleasant stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Room was clean. Nothing too fancy, but nothing wrong either. We stayed in the motel part not the main building. We had a mini fridge which was great for leftovers from dinner and chairs outside our room to sit and enjoy watching the fog rolling in at night. Downtown was right around the corner and everything was in walking distance. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Motel section has basic rooms, the main house looked very nice and a bit fancier

Mosley Bed and Breakfast was outstanding. First floor room was huge and private porch delightful. Breakfasts were varied with several choices and well prepared. Close to stores and several good restaurants. Staff manning reception desk were all informative.

We stayed here a few weeks ago in August, and really enjoyed our time. It is just a short walk from all of the attractions in town, so once we parked our car we did not need to get in our car at all unless we wanted to leave town. The staff was so friendly, and gave us great suggestions for dining, and they also had delicious baked goods in the lobby for everyone to enjoy. We stayed in the Town Motel portion of the inn, and the room was clean and had everything we needed. I would recommend this to couples, and families for a really enjoyable stay.

We like to hike hard and come home to a comfortable, clean, hassle free place to rest our feet and lay our heads. For our Bar Harbor trip, we wanted super comfortable and we found it in spades at the Moseley Inn. The Cadillac Room was superb, bed wonderfully soft yet supportive, with crisp linens and fat towels. We put the small frig to good use, and needed the A/C for 1 day. The room was small, but we found hooks and corners for what we needed. Breakfast was phenomenal. Eggs cooked to order and fresh daily baked pastries, and an absolutely perfect hostess who put everyone at ease. The b-fast crowd, 10-14 intrepid souls per seating (?), were from a wide background, some passing through, some hikers, some bikers. Morning conversation was fun! Highly recommended for a stay in Bar Harbor.

As noted in previous reviews, the location is excellent. Walking distance to everything, but the street is quiet....we could sleep with the windows open and no noise. The house is historic, beautiful and impeccably maintained. The Sargent Room on the second floor is large and very comfortable with a fireplace and its own well furnished, covered porch. It was a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine. The bathroom is the largest of the 4 B&B's we tried on this trip. Pam, our hostess, was gracious, welcoming and helpful, without being pushy in her suggestions of places to dine and things to do. The breakfast was beyond excellent......a sideboard buffet loaded with homemade baked goods (best blueberry scones in America!), fresh fruit, yoghurt, homemade granola, coffee, tea, etc. Then there is a menu of hot food that is cooked per your order. We had eggs one day and blueberry pancakes another, both served with crispy bacon. Can't think of a better way to start the day.
But it's the details that set this inn apart and make it excellent value for the money........4 Turkish towels in the bathroom instead of two that we found in other comparably priced inns.....platters of cookies and other baked treats on the table in the foyer, to tempt you as you are coming and going......flexible breakfast time from 8-10am as opposed to the "one seating" policy in many other inns.
If you are looking for a cozy, relaxing, welcoming place to base your visit to Acadia, choose this inn. You will be glad you did!

Room Tip: Sargent room is large and comfortable, with a fireplace and its own private covered porch.

The location is very good, close enough to walk easily to the centre of Bar Harbor, but on a very quiet street. We had an excellent room, with a view across to the sea. The wifi functioned well and the breakfast was good, albeit quite full. My grading of very good may seem grudging, but as an inn it just falls short of excellent (as a motel it would presumably be superb).

During our recent visit to Bar Harbor/Acadia, we stayed in the Motel (Room#2 for 2 nights) which fit our needs perfectly. It is affordably priced and the location is great - within easy walking distance of all the restaurants and shops, but located on a side street so it’s very quiet with easy parking. Our room was very clean and came equipped with a small refrigerator and a Keurig Coffee maker (K-cups included). The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure! The rooms in the cottage are more expensive but include a full breakfast. The Motel rooms do not include breakfast and since we were planning on doing breakfast on our own, this wasn’t a problem for us. If you want to eat breakfast at the Inn, you just need to let them know the night before ($15 pp). We especially liked the baked goodies (blueberry scones, pumpkin muffins & chocolate chip cookies) that were available in the Inn lobby! Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with restaurant suggestions and directions to the various attractions. We will definitely stay here again when we re-visit Bar Harbor.

Room Tip: If you are a very light sleeper or easily annoyed by noises, you might want to get a room on the sec...
