“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

Dinner in the Reading Room was a nice evening. If not on a package deal with the Inn, is a bit pricey, but is worth it for a nice occasion. Steak and seafood were cooked just right, and service was fine.

“Awesome views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

After a sail on the Margaret Todd WIndjammer, we ate in the Reading Room. Amazing views of the Harbor, a true old classic hotel restaurant. The meal was wonderful, especially the specialty breads and the lemon sorbet to clear the pallet before the entree. Most expensive entree was about $40. Piano player a romantic touch. Suggestion while in Bar Harbor......go on a day when no cruise ships are in port, or visit after 5 when they've left the town. Very, very crowded when 2 ships are in port.

“Excellent food, awesome culinary tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

The Terrace Grill is always our first stop when visiting Bar Harbor. Something for every palate, and every dish is outstanding. And the blueberry pie is the best we've ever had! A very special treat is the Wednesday culinary tour hosted by executive chef, Lou (tour is free to hotel guests). Always a highlight of the entire week.

“Good, not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

We went here for dinner our first night in town. We made reservations weeks in advance largely because we wanted the view to celebrate a special occasion. The service was slow and it took a long time to even order our food. The food was good, but not spectacular. Most things were on the bland side. In such a beautiful area of the country with such great foods we had higher expectations.

“my favorite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

The food taste, presentation and portion was perfect. Our hotel package included 2 dinners & a lobster bake and it was not limited to a certain selection. Surf & Turf was heavenly. There was nothing I did not like. Our waitress, Valorie was professional, but friendly.
