We heard good things about this restaurant, and they were right! Havana serves contemporary interpretations of Spanish and Latin American cuisine using locally sourced ingredients. The owner was friendly and greeted each table. She was very knowledgeable about the extensive wine list. I had an excellent mojito as a cocktail. We shared the tuna escabeche for an appetizer - just right for two people and very tasty on tortilla chips. I had the grilled scallops for my entree - perfectly cooked and yummy with the manchego grits. My husband had the special : swordfish with a smoked tomato relish. For dessert - an excellent rendition of Tres Leches.
The atmosphere was comfortable with a gentle Brazilian soundtrack playing in the background. Dress could be neat/casual to jeans with low hiking boots. Perfect for the Bar Harbor crowd.
