Husband and I went there for dinner tonight at the recommendation of our hotel's manager. We were taken to the attic (oops, I mean, 2nd floor) which was very cold. They had 2 tiny portable heaters on the floor which didn't do anything to warm up the place.
There was one other table of 5 in the room with us. They were already eating their dinner.
Our waitress never gave us her name or the specials for the day. Husband ordered a 12 oz NY strip medium-well. He asked for a baked potato but was told they were not available but he could have fries or au gratin potatoes. He opted for the fries. When his steak arrived, it looked more like a 6 or 8 oz. steak. It was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. He didn't send it back because it was already half burnt. Fries were cold and very few. Asparagus spears was way over cooked.
I had a bowl of clam chowder and a regular caesar salad. Chowder was too thin and too oniony for my taste. I eat caesar salad's regularly and this was by far the worse I've ever had (how can you go wrong with caesar salad???).
Our waitress seemed preoccupied. Our drink glasses sat empty; I had iced tea and had to ask twice for sweetener so I could drink my tea.
And the hot pretzels that everyone is talking about here.... we never got any.
We were both starved so my husband ate his food anyways. Afterwards, we were still hungry but the food and service was so poor that we didn't want to give them any more of our business.
When the waitress brought our bill, she just plopped it on the table.... never said, is there anything else I can do for you or how was everything. Worst waitress ever.
We wished we had checked trip advisor first for restaurant recommendations before we set out for dinner tonight.
Save your money and go as far away from Jack Russell's as you can!
