We were in Bar Harbor third week of Feb. There was very little open.We found the Cromwell just by chance, after checking out a few other places that we did not care for. Cromwell is very friendly ,well located just to the right of downtown and very walkable to sights and eating.(if they were open) There was a very good small breakfast place that we walked to each morning(at the Gulf station) we would not have tried it on our own but well worth it friendly & tasty) The motel was CLEAN we looked at 3 rooms. 1 in the older building with 2 queens, a first floor king and a 2nd floor king in the 3 year old building.. All were nice and clean. We stayed in the 2 nd floor king. Very clean and large room, fridge/micro, coffee maker, table 2 straight chairs, one stuffed chair,a good size clean bathroom(had its own heat),a fair size closet, and a small balcony looking on to the grounds, which are well maintained and I guess have many flowers /plantings.motel sits back from road so it is quiet. We liked it here. We did think that $94.00 in Feb. was a bit high(no breakfast) and very off season, but it was in the same price range as the places we did not like. We will go to Bar Harbor again. We will check out other places as their are many,BUT we would Happily return to the Cromwell.
