My wife won a free dinner for 2 here at the Looking Glass through the hotel she works at. We started with the Mushroom Florentine. Very savory. My wife was not expecting to like it as she only tolerates mushroom but the mix of spinach, cheeses and mushroom was excellent and won her over. For entrees, my wife had the surf and turf and I had the seafood medley. As a native Mainer, I rarely order anything with lobster because it is too expensive compared to buying it on your own. I must say I am glad I did this time. The sauce was like a creamy hug of goodness. It contained Scallops, shrimp, lobster and halibut along with veggies and was served on top of wild mushroom ravioli. My wife's surf and turf was a grilled lobster tail and a filet. She found the steak to be very nice, but the lobster to be the best. For dessert, my wife had the rocky road brownie sundae and I had the mini dessert of peanut butter mousse with chocolate sauce. The peanut butter was very creamy and was the right size, considering my wife could only finish one of the brownies and most of the ice cream. I finished off the dessert and we left full and pleased.
