wow, another crash hotel review. The guy at the door looked like he could have done a 20 to life on a murder rap, but beat it by getting a lawyer. No worries, he just looked mean and was a nice guy after you talked to him.

But hey, it’s Guam, the sleepy little island that almost could be nice. Super cheap rates, and it shows. Nothing nice or elegant about this place. Nothing posh or palatial, no room service, just a room. No restaurant, nada.

If you just need a place to bed down for the evening, get up in the morning to catch a flight, this is your place.
It was a nice way to end a long vacation, staying in nice 4 star properties to ground you back into reality, stark reality.
I wouldn’t stay here past 12 hours tho.

Stayed 1 night due to overnight layover in Guam.

Fair value for the $65 we paid, but only good for sleeping (and bring ear plugs), no other amenities at hotel.

Pros:
Great location for shopping. Right behind the Duty Free Shopping mall (not a location for those looking for secluded beach holiday type lodging).
Water pressure in shower was fine.
A/C works well, but is turned off when you're not there, so everytime you come in it takes 20 minutes to cool the room down,

Cons:
Requested a crib for the room, was told at check in they don't have cribs. Not a huge problem for us, but for some families finding out at the last minute that they don't have cribs despite requesting one in the online reservation could be hugely problematic, not just a service blunder.
Creaky soft mattresses.
15 minute walk to beach through parking lots.
No restaurant in hotel, but food options close-by.
No gift shop, but ABC store is a 10 minute walk.
Tile floors and hallways cause sounds to echo through hotel, if someone closes their door on your floor, you hear it. If some coughs, you hear it. Bring ear plugs.
Signage to this place is horrible. If you aren't familiar or have a good map, prepare for a little frustration.
No wifi.

Ok room if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room. Very old and the bathroom was stinky and very dirty. Bedspreads were nasty and stained up so I would suggest that anyone coming here to bring your own pillow and blankets and wash rags because they don't supply any. The view was nice and close to shopping and the beach if you dont mind walking up a very steep hill. The springs in the bed dig into your side and back when you sleep... not too comfortably if you ask me. No microwave in the room so dont plan on saving any of your expensive food, although, there is a community microwave by the reception desk... weird. Overall, just ok... you get what you pay for.

The reason I can't vote it with more stars is, well, I value those stars and I tend to use 4 and 5 stars on great stays.

But that doesn't mean Tuman Bay Capital Hotel is mediocre. You get what you paid for here. The room is large, clean and good air-conditioning. Water, fridge and and everything works very well.

The furniture maybe old, but it's not a problem for short stays. TV is kind of outdated. The sliding door on the balcony may not slide very well, but when you get used to it, you know how not to break it.

The view from the balcony is, well, sub-par because other hotels have better positions. But, hey, it's not as bad as you think. You can still see the ocean and the sky while lying on your bed!

Parking is easy.
