“great buffet restaurant, good service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2011

Had problems with my internet connection but staff was very helpful and even transferred me to another room and just gave me internet free of charge. The view was not as spectacular as the other hotels in the area and its a little farther from the center of tumon. The rooms were updated but you can still see where they repainted. The best thing about this hotel was their breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet...overflowing lobster and beer...amazing!

Guam is a 7 hour flight West from Honolulu or 3.5 from Tokyo - both excellent ways to visit and tie in other locations. This property is clean, has spacious updated rooms, an excellent Executive Lounge with breakfast, appetizers and free alcohol and, best of all, has a Roy's restaurant. Roy's is truly a wonderful experience of Asian Fusion and this one inside the hotel, is just fantastic. However, the experience of Guam is what draws us here. It's not only like Hawaii without all the people, it's what you would expect Hawaii to be but it isn't - warm water, fantastic snorkeling and diving, extremely friendly people, excellent infrastructure. This hotel sits at the edge of Tumon Bay and commands a panorama of the reef, cliffs and bay. Inside the hotel is the Tasi Club which is a "hotel in a hotel" with upgraded rooms, it's own lounge and an extremely courteous and helpful staff. All-in-all, this hotel as well as the destination is the perfect place for a beach getaway - and it is part of the United States (an Island Territory) so even your cell phone works!

We stayed 3 nights with our 5 year old son at the Tasi Club. My son keeps asking to go back. I read a lot of the reviews before my stay and I was a little worried. We found just the opposite of what a lot of the reviews alleged. I never felt any type of racism nor did I have a problem with the service. I think that the hotel should protest the bad reviews. I see most of them as someone out to damage the hotel for some reason.

The best thing we did was rent a car to get around. The area is totally different at night away from the hotel. It is not safe at all. I never saw the police the entire time we were there. We did not feel safe at night away from the hotel. There is rental car service inside the hotel.

We ate out for our meals. The best meal we had was on our last night. I recommend the " Fisherman's Cove" restaurant at the hotel. Our server Perry talked our ear off, but provided great service and was proud of the restaurant he worked for. He helped us with our choices of fresh seafood and it was all great. The restaurant features fresh seafood in a market type of atmosphere. We still talk about our dinner that night.

My son loved the pools and slide.

The only bad experience we had was from Officer Thompson at the U.S. Immigration. He can never forget him. All I want to say is watch out! They are so rude and on a power trip.

Large room with all the necessary amenities. Breakfast was included, huge buffet but many customers at the same time therefore many items run out quickly. large pool area and direct access to the lagoon with cristal clear water. many guests from the far east and us military personnel. if possible choose higher floor with sea view, mountain view is actually parking lot view and can be noisy.

An opportunity came up to spend 4 days in Guam and we found a good deal at the Hilton. Though we checked into one of the least expensive rooms we were treated like royalty by the staff.
The grounds were extraordinary. Every part of the resort from the pools, to the gym, and rooms were excellent. It was about 1/2 mile from the shopping/restaurant area, so a car is helpful (free parking). However, if you don't want to drive the Hilton has beautiful views, great beach access, and many activities right on the grounds.
If I had to find one minor complaint it would be that the tropical drinks at the pool bar are terrible (not that they're undrinkable, just shouldn't be associated with this resort).

I spent a week in October 2010 and returned for nine days in November 2010. The service at the front desk, at the restaurants and at the pool and beach area was excellent. The rooms were well maintained as would be expected at the Hilton. I walked north along the beach for an hour out and an hour back every day except one when it rained. There is also a good nature walk on the grounds. The hotel grounds are probably the lagest of any hotel on Guam. The excellent buffet meals were a bargain and had both Western and Asian dishes. The location is relaxing in that it is away from the main downtown area. Hovever a shuttle runs every ten minutes and stops at the main downtown hotels and all shopping areas. Car rental is inexpensive but unnecessary unless you want to tour around the island.
