Owner description: Beyond Pearl City is Oahu’s Leeward Coast, home to spectacular beaches like Makaha and Yokohama. But the biggest magnet is Ko Olina Resort with its glorious coves for swimming and sunning. Ko Olina’s newest addition is Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa that sidesteps typical Disney fantasy and focuses on celebrating the reality of Hawaiian culture, history and traditions. With the help of Mickey, Minnie and the gang decked out in aloha attire, the resort has a fun vibe that never lets you lose sight that it’s all about the Hawaiian Islands. At Ko Olina, you’ll also find two of Oahu’s most popular luaus at Germaine’s and Paradise Cove, plus a selection of ocean excursions departing the resort’s marina.

“Great for relaxing and families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014 via mobile

We were at lagoon 3. Got to the parking at lagoon 4 before 10am and found a spot. Walked to 3 and used the chairs that are supposed to be used by Marriott guests. Great sand and nice water with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Highly recommended.

“Beautiful beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Nice beach with 4 lagoons. Easy to park at enach lagoon for 10 dollar a day. 4th lagoon hade some work going on and could not use all lagoon. Restromms and access to the restaurant at the resorts in the other lagoons. The water was more calm than in other parts of the ocean and more suitable for families.

“Lagoon hopping”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

There was a lovely walking/jogging path that was widely used by many people to run between the hotels and lagoons. It was safe and the view was amazing!!!

“Beautiful, warm and safe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

I'm one of those people that doesn't like to go in the ocean for fear of sharks and things I can't see that might be dangerous. The lagoons at Ko Olina are perfect for me. The water feels nice and each lagoon is big enough to enjoy swimming, playing and doing water activities with friends or family without anyone being in your way really. The sand is nice and clean. The palm trees and grass outside of the sandy beach are very nice to sit on. The sunsets are to die for.

“Bring Ten Dollars To Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

These lagoons are very nice with children. There are no big waves. The beach is sandy, and it is safe for snorkeling beginners. Unfortunately, there is not a lot to see when you snorkel.
There are also showers and restrooms available.
Pack food, come before nine if you want one of the few free parking spots available, or bring ten dollars for the marina parking at the end. There are no 'ins and outs' so know it's another ten dollars if you want to go and come back with your car.
A nice mix of locals and tourists near the marina...and if you're lucky you might see a Japanese wedding too! I've seen one every time I've gone.
