We ate here while staying at the JW Marriott Ihilani, having dinner the first night we arrived. I'd read the reviews on TA. We were told as Marriott Platinum members we'd get 25% off our meals which was a nice bonus. The restaurant is an open air terrace off of the pool deck and has a couple of seating spaces at slightly different elevations. All meals come with a salad bar and soup with fresh bread. We found the salad bar to have nice choices, not the typical old-fashioned salad bar and the soups to be excellent. It was nice to have multiple spreads for the fresh bread- pesto, tapenade, baked garlic, etc. If you happen to dine early, they have 3 choices of entrees for a bargain price of $25.00. They all include salad bar. If you choose some other entree, the prices are still reasonable for Hawaii. Our server, Christine, was exceptional. We both had fresh isn and loved it. It had been pouring rain that night so not many diners so we went back the next day. You may be wondering why I titled this ' mixed feelings'. Well, the downside is since it is open air, the birds love this place. The servers have to shoo away the birds as they land on the tables. Not sanitary. We hadn't noticed this the first night since it was such a downpour and the birds weren't around. Other than that, the food was good and the service was exceptional.
