“Four Seasons Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

I was seriously impressed with this hotel and its service. They have done an incredible job of making this resort feel Hawaiian with a sprinkle of Disney and TONS of magic. It is not Disney in your face and is extremely tasteful. Do yourself a favor and get the DVC (Disney Vacation Club) rooms. Check out David's Rentals who rents out points for DVC and are usually less than paying rack through the hotel or consolidator. Also, check out the Disboards and search for the Aulani views thread. It gives you a map and layout of the different room and views for each room. You can put in a request and hope for the best.

Here's the funny think about this trip...we went without our kids. We are DVC members and had points to burn. I was very worried about it not being a relaxing and romantic trip. Wrong. It was awesome, relaxing and dare I say it....peace-full. I would say couples should avoid high season. I was actually missing my babies because there were so many things they would be squealing with delight at. Aunty's Beach House looks amazing. Racks or dress up clothes and giant TV sized Ipad's with interactive games for multiple kids to play. The Disney details.

The food at the hotel was better than expected after reading reviews but after awhile it gets boring. I'm actually a bit annoyed I went in with that pre-conceived notion because I would have not thought the food was questionable at all. I think the pool menu needs some updating and definitely needs a fabulous chicken nacho and some different sandwiches. Having a room with a kitchen or even a fridge and micro will not only help your wallet but keep you sane. The dinner buffet was excellent and very reasonable for all that you get. My husband was in heaven with the all you can eat sashimi. He said it was extremely fresh and he knows sushi. The character breakfast one morning is a must. Amazing breakfast and the kids are just delighted with all the interaction and activity.

Very impressed with all the activities for the whole family from the wee ones to teenagers. The Spa is lovely. The price is steep but the experience was worth it. Complete relaxation and a wonderful massage. We will definitely be going back to this amazing resort!

Room Tip: Check out the DISboards and search Aulani Views thread. It's only a request but its worth a sho...

My daughter (5yearold) and I loved this resort. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the facilities are great, clean and exceptionally monitored by life guards. The rainbow reef pool was excellent for little ones learning to snorkel.

We also had a keiki wahine afternoon at the spa, while I had a mani/ pedi which although a little expensive was of a very high quality and we both enjoyed ourselves.

This was our first Disney resort experience and in every way it matched up to its reputation. Unfortunately it has made the next part of our holiday pale in comparison!

We brought our 3 oldest children and 6 grandchildren, ages 10-2 here and it was amazing! There was something for everyone. Activities everyday or just sit by the pool or on the beach. The staff is attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The kids couldn't believe it when Goofy came to the pool! We had movie night, character visits everyday, games and crafts. The 'AMA'AMA restaurant had THE best steak ever and the poolside food was very good. They even have a shaved ice shack! There was a pool for every age. The slides were scream worthy and the lazy river was, well relaxing. Would come here again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with the largest refrigerator and microwave. We made a Costco run to help keep the c...

We stayed for three nights in November. We arrived in mid morning and were delighted that we could get into our room immediately. The bellman and front desk staff were very pleasant and efficient. Our room was modern and attractive with a great view. The only disappointment was that the type of unit we had did not have a king bed. The adult spa was the largest we have seen with two tiers. All of the water facilities were first rate, including a snorkel pool which is a feature we had not seen anywhere else. The beach goes on for over a mile and makes for a great morning walk. The main restaurant dinner buffet is excellent. All in all a very enjoyable experience

We just returned from our first Thanksgiving away from home and we're really glad we chose Aulani.
The pools are great and there are so many resort activities that you really never need to leave the property.
Rainbow Reef (the resort saltwater snorkeling area) was a great way to introduce kids (and adults) to snorkeling. The Lazy river and water slides were great as well. There are a good number of pools and even some that are Adults Only. All in all the resort is definitely 4.5 stars.
We stayed in a standard room with an ocean view (which means we were on a high floor). The rooms are OK, but nothing extraordinary. Our children had their own "spa day" and absolutely loved it!
Parking is $35/day, need I say more?
The food at the restaurants are ok, some great meals (breakfast) and others (lunch) not so great. Thanksgiving offerings at the sit down restaurant ('ama 'ama) was less than memorable. But sitting in an open air dining room listening to the waves and island music made it tolerable.
Overall I would definitely recommend this resort for people with children. We plan on going back next year for Thanksgiving, we just won't order the Turkey and Stuffing.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor for the best ocean views.

This was our first Disney experience - traveled with my husband & two kids aged 8 and 10 we were all very very impressed.

We booked a pool/garden view studio and as there was garden renovations and scaffolding directly outside our room we were upgraded to the 15th floor for an ocean view studio. We went from a bit disappointed to 'over the moon'. They aim to "exceed your expectations" and the staff at this hotel and the provisions did this in many ways. This was facilitated by the bell boy who has assisted with luggage and he was just the start of so many wonderful staff. I would go so far as to say all the staff here have the best customer service attitude and are the best at what they do.

The free starlight show was fantastic and my daughter and i enjoyed a screening of cinderella as on the lawns one night as well.

I have never seen so many lifeguards at a resort before - I felt so secure about the kids that I didnt feel I had to follow them around all day (and this is the first time i have felt like that). The lifeguards are also very very competent and attentive to all thats going on in the many pools and around the lazy river.

Whilst the price to stay was quite steep - the prices of food and drinks, gift shop, spa etc were all very affordable. You can buy the refillable cups for $16.95 adn get as much soft drink tea, coffee and hot chocolate as you need for duration of stay. The character breakfast was a bit pricey as well and we only did that once - but it is a must do for one time.

The whole resort is very new and clean and I cant say enough good things about it.

We had the best service from concierge staff who assisted us with a hotel transfer hiccup and sourced tickets to the Hawaii College Football for us as well.

Never before when checking out of a hotel have staff offered for us to stay and use facilities for the rest of the day and to use the guest lounge which has lockers, computers, showers as many pool and bath towels as you need as well as a dryer to dry wet clothes/bathers before you travel home. I was very impressed by this hotel and I think I am quite hard to impress.

Room Tip: Ocean View Studios are well worth the extra - but view of the resort is actually more impressive tha...
